Kofi Opong-Mensah is the last born and the first college educated of a family of five. Coming from humble beginning in Ghana, West Africa, with first degree in B.Sc. (Hon.) Biochemistry from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he obtained double M.Sc. degrees in Water Resources Management and Environmental Chemistry. He continued for his PH.D. in Toxicology and Chemistry. He has a Diplomate in American Board
of Toxicology and served as President of the Toxicology of African Origin of the Society of Toxicology. He is also the President of Mensa Laboratories, President of African Cultural Center USA, among others. Kofi has worked in academia, governmental agencies, industry and private sectors
